About the Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2005 and presently it offers Under-Graduate programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Post-Graduate programme in Power Systems Engineering. The department has qualified faculty members with excellent academic records. Our students keep themselves wired to the world by attending seminars, workshops and by conducting mini projects. The Department has good infrastructure and full-fledged laboratory facilities with Power system Simulation Laboratory and it has various softwares like MATLAB, Psim, and CYME. The department has been constantly producing illustrious engineering graduates of high caliber who occupy prestigious positions in the academia and industrial fields.

Department Initiatives

Association of EEE

The association encourages the students to organize and participate in the national level symposium. Electrical and Electronics Association organizes events and seminars periodically for the betterment of students.This Association allows students of EEE to exhibit their talents in various mind provoking events. The events organized by the association are International Conferences, National Conferences, Workshops, Seminars / Guest Lectures on advanced topics.

Course Objectives

  • To provide effective education by emphasizing Engineering and Technology

  • The demand for environmentally friendly power generation, cheaper and smarter products requires the smart work of electrical engineers

  • EEE has its scopes in NTPC, BHEL, ISRO, SAIL, BSNL, TNEB, ONGC etc.

  • Graduates of EEE are also well versed in the areas of manufacturing, installing and testing of electrical equipments to ensure that products meet the specifications and codes

  • Electrical Engineers are also eligible for software related corporates like TCS, CTS, IBM, WIPRO, HP, ACCENTURE and INFOSYS

  • Fully equipped labs with CYME, PSim 9.0 & MATLAB softwares to update the practical knowledge of the students (Electrical Machines-I & II lab, Electron devices and circuits lab, Measurement and instrumentation lab, Control Systems lab, Power Electronics lab, Engineering Practices lab, Electric Circuits lab, Power System Simulation lab ) .
